I can't say enough about how well the M550 cleans; it's exceeding my expectations. Here in Phoenix the monsoons come out of nowhere and destroy your pool, but the M550 is a rock star and in two hours the pool is back to where it was. The super fine filter is the magic, you can run back-to-back clean cycles in a clean pool, and it'll still pick up dirt you had no idea existed in your pool. I can easily say our pool has never been this clean. It's also easy to retrieve from the pool, clean the filter, manage the cable/hose, the power module, the app is actually user friendly and simple as well. I didn't think having a caddy was that big of a deal but it's of great help. Pretty much anyone can grab it, put it on the caddy and put it up. I can't believe I tried a cordless, corded is the way to go for us, just all -around easier. Special shout out to the man Johnny. Thankfully I ran across his comparison chart when I did. My advice is to stick with Pelican and Dolphin and you'll be happy!
Works great! Easy to deploy and retrieve and the filter basket is easy to remove, clean and re-install.
I have the maytronics m550 pool cleaner that I bought from pelican pools and this machine works like a fast moving state of the art tank. Best pool cleaner I have owned it does not get stuck on my 2 inch high drain cleaner it will sit and clean drain cleaners for about 30 seconds and just glides right off which my 1700 dollar sigma never did. The m550 is worth every dollar if you like crystal clear clean water . The m550 will climb to tile and scrub all algae off wall and yellow mustard gone forever and bottom floors so clean. Thanks to pelican customer service and support they are truly the best with warranty service also.
Great experience with this company, my local pool provider is not as good an adds a $100 to the price of everything. I’m loyal so hopefully they don’t ever change and I can keep coming back!
Love the robot and the feature to take it out of the pool. Software app is glitchy
This robot works great at cleaning our pool which is located in the middle of a wooden area - so we get a good deal of material that reaches the bottom. We typically use either the one hour/bottom only or two hour/standard mode. Both modes get the job done in our 20x40 foot pool. Finally, shipping could not be faster as it showed up the day after we ordered!

Works well. It does take two cycles to fully clean the floor, but that's not a problem. It does a much better job than the side pressure Polaris ever did.

I bought this model based on the recommendations in the excellent video that you put together that explained very clearly the different Dolphin models. This one was certainly not the cheapest but I am very happy with my choice. It worked flawlessly straight out of the box and my pool has never been cleaner!
We had a fantastic purchasing experience with Pelican! Being out of state, I really appreciated how informative and detailed their guidance was on the different pool vacuum options. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. We ultimately chose the M550, and it’s been a great fit for our needs. Our freeform pool tends to collect a lot of dirt, grass, and leaves, and this vacuum handles it all effortlessly. It climbs our curved walls with ease and does an excellent job cleaning the waterline. I also love the variety of cleaning settings and especially the pickup mode — I believe it will really contribute to the vacuum’s longevity. We selected the M550 specifically for its three motors and extended warranty, and so far, it’s exceeded our expectations. I’m very happy with our purchase from Pelican and would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a pool vacuum.
Best vacuum I have purchased in the past ten years. I was nervous about spending so much money, but it is well worth it. I had previously owned Polaris 360 pressure cleaner and the Polaris quattro sport pressure cleaners. I was hesitant about not using a pressure pool cleaner as my pool is designed for one. I got tired of the cleaners not climbing the walls or not working. After a lot of research, I decided on purchasing the Maytronics Dolphin M550 Robotic pool cleaner. It does require more steps to set up to clean the pool but love that I can control it from my phone. It climbs walls with no problem and is easy to remove from the pool. I do recommend you follow their pointers on maintaining your cleaner. I have not had any service issues so I cannot comment on service. I can say that I made multiple phone calls when I first set up the cleaner for help and each time they were available and answered all my questions.
I was very impressed with the people would worked here, their knowledge and guidance on what to purchase based on our pool size and needs. They were extremely honest and we got the vacuum shipped very fast. I highly recommend them to anyone!
Love the new robot. Never gets stuck on main drain like my old one. New basket style filter is also an improve.

The difference in quality, ease of use, and thoroughness of the upper tier models (550, 600) is very evident when you use them. I tried 2 lower tiered models (trying to save a buck) & ended up returning them b/c they were immediately 'lacking'. I am very happy with this 550 model - expensive, but worth it.

Fast shipping This replaced my 15+year old maytronics triton . It does a great job picking up sand and very small debris. Top unloading basket is much easier to clean out than the older bottom clean out. Pool looks much better and I think is worth the price because I don’t have a pool service. I put in chlorine and let the robot clean the bottom and done. Looks perfect!

Amazing product
Vacuum works great but I cant figure out the manual drive feature.
Gets stuck on main drain cover, appears to want to clean east wall more than any other wall. When cleaning floor it appears to miss many spots. No way to change how long it cleans so for a small pool it's to long and for a large pool it is to short
It is a nice unit but it doesn't clean the waterline like expected. it only cleans the waterline in specific places not around the entire pool. It does a great job on the floors and the walls of my pool are clear from algae. The ability to manually move the unit is clunky and doesn't work very well.

Blue hose not meant to be wrapped on the carrier. Always a challenge. Seems to clean well, no pattern to pool coverage…seems100% random. Does not get entire pool. Getting it into pool and started is fine. Getting it out a challenge as well. Finished in random spot, “slide to pick up “ sometimes gets it to a place we can pick it up, sometimes not.

I am happy with my purchase. The cleaning experience is excellent. I love the fact that I have a basket on top now which is so much better than my old robot that leaked dirt out of the bottom. So why no 5 stars? The robot is frequently missing the two corners in the deep end. No rhyme o reason why. Sometimes he does, sometimes he does not. Not a deal breaker, the area he misses is about the size of a golf ball. Another thing is, to get the robot to come back for pickup after the cleaning job. I always have to manually steer him to the stairs to pick him up. So the verdict is: Very good, but not perfect. Let this not worry you. I tested multiple robots and this is the best one.
This was such an easy decision to buy from Pelican Shops 1. It all started with the awesome (and very informative) analysis chart (hard copy and video) of all the Dolphin pool sweep products. It made my decision making easy and I felt informed and confident in my choice. Then when I talked to the staff they reinforced my choice. They were prompt in 2 calls back to me. They were also unselfish in telling me to buy the cover for the caddy direct as it would save me money. Now that is awesome putting the customer first. I highly recommend this company as well as the dolphin pool sweep
