Pelican Dolphin Pool Cleaner Enhanced Warranty Details

When you purchase select models of Dolphin Pool Cleaners at Pelicanshops1.com you will get added benefits and coverages under warranty. Each model that has our “Enhanced Warranty” will have a badge that will symbolize that it has the enhanced warranty on its product page. Units that do not have this badge are units we do not stock parts for. You would need to reach out and go through Dolphin customer service channels to have the robot fixed with Dolphin. See the list below of units with the Enhanced Warranty after reading. The Enhanced warranty coverage lasts as long as the normal manufacturer warranty from dolphin, length is dependent on the model purchased.

For the units that have it, The Enhanced Warranty has these benefits

-          Shipping to and from Pelican to get repaired TWICE, after the 2nd time your will be responsible to ship the product back to us, labor is always covered under the warranty length (however we have never had a 3rd problem, 1 and 2 are rare enough as it is). This is a beneficial as dolphins’ base warranty DOES NOT cover shipping and to have dolphin repair the robot directly it can take up to 2-4 weeks, where with us it will take a few days due to the lower workload.

-          Direct communication options to call or email us to troubleshoot your Dolphin or if you have general questions about your purchase, You can call us between 10 and 5 pm EST to troubleshoot or start a warranty claim at 973-313-4424 or you can email us at support@pelicanshops1.com. We will get back to you within 1 business day with support. This is a huge benefit as reaching out to dolphin usually results in a few days of waiting before replies or significant hold times on the phone, up to 2-3 hours.

If the robot needs to be shipped to Pelican for repair we will provide you with a prepaid label. You are responsible for dropping the robot off at drop off center as well as boxing up the robot. You can either keep the original box or you can purchase a box at the UPS store, Home Depot, or LOWES if needed. The label will be for a box up to 24”x20”x20”. If you use a larger box, you would be responsible for the cost difference. KEEP IN MIND any large box will result in the robot moving a lot during transit. ANY damage or loss that occurs due to improper packaging is not covered under any warranty, if this happens the customer would be responsible for costs to replace the robot or parts, as well as labor.

In RARE cases we might not have the part needed for repair, if this happens, we might need to wait for the part to come in from dolphin which might take extra time. If the part is backordered, we would have shipment arranged to go to Dolphin directly instead of to Pelican. This happens in VERY rare occurrences but is always a possibility.

Pelican will only cover what is covered under dolphin’s manufacturer warranty

There are rare occurrences where a cleaner might arrive for repair and work perfectly fine. We will test significantly however, if a problem is not found we will ship the robot back to you. It would be important to try all troubleshooting first and to test outlets / WIFI to make sure it’s not any issues at your house first.

If we see the robot has been mistreated and chemical guidelines ignored (which can be found in the dolphin manual, Pelican reserves the right to void any future enhanced warranty shipping coverage. We recommend following the guidelines, for example leaving the cleaner in the pool more than not and leaving it in chlorine over 4 ppm at any time will cause significant damage which will result in issues way sooner than expected.
