I bought one in 2016. Used it for 4 yrs. Moved away from pool home. Gave it to my Dad. He has been using that one for 6 yrs with no problems. I ended up building my forever home after retirement and originally bought the scuba pro. POS. Ended up returning that machine and went with my new dolfin M400 and this is what it picked up going right behind the SMP. So. All I can is if you dont think this machine is good. Here is the absolute truth it does. Down to the finest tiny little particles. I give it a 20 out of 10. You will not be disappointed I. An promise you that.
This is my only source of vacuuming my pool and it is absolutly one of the best investments i made. Leaves me with satisfaction every time i use it and lets me relax. great machine and Pelican was absolutely helpful and trustworthy with their recommendation, pricing and shipping.
I gave a 4 star because It works good on straight pools with no steeps or Baja, it gets stuck on the steeps and won’t climb up to the Baja part so that means I have to scrub the part of the pool my self .🤦🏽♂️ and will be nice if I could get notifications when it does so I can go get it unstuck. also WiFi connection doesn’t work sometimes I have to keep reconnecting pretty much start setup all over again every time. Other than that works good.
We are so happy with our purchase! Highly recommend this model of cleaner (m400) and getting it from Pelican! They were great to deal with and answered all of our questions etc. Price was fair and we are absolutely impressed with our cleaner! It cleans the pool so well and scrubs the walls and waterline!
I like this vacuum cleaner. It is heavy and a pain to put in the pool and take it out and then cleaning it, but I like it. It does a good job. It went up to our third step today. It had not done that before.
Absolutely LOVE my M400. Pelican Shops was amazing. Very. Helpful before purchase And recommended the right product for my pool without a cage, the product shipped right on time. Product came undamaged and works perfectly. Simply connect the robot, plug it in, put it in the pool, it's runs 2.5 hours, the app notifies me when it's done. You can also manual drive it up to the edge of the pool to get it out as well. Freaking amazing.
M400 is an effective pool cleaner and is able to clean the waterline of my pool. You need to be careful with which slot the bar is placed in as it impacts how high on the wall the vacuum will reach. The back slot seems to give the robot the most buoyancy.
So far, the M400 has been amazing. The pool seems much cleaner. I really appreciate the shop. I have called several times and everyone seems to have time to talk and give tips and tricks for getting the most form the pool cleaner.

So the Dolphin M400 works pretty well but isn’t perfect and I don’t think any pool cleaner is perfect. Dolphin has been working on this design for a while and it looks just like the Supreme M4. The cleaner seems to struggle a bit with the concave design of my deep end and will slide down at times and miss some areas. Overall the filtration is really excellent. It filters and picks up most items on the bottom of the pool. I think for a free form pool like mine this probably isn’t the best and would do better with a rectangular pool. That’s the only way that I would recommend for someone to buy it and I think there are much better newer cleaners from Dolphin that do a better job.

This piece of equipment was a lifesaver for us. We are impressed with the way that it cleans our pool so efficiently. It’s easy to use and the cart that it comes on this very helpful.
Let me first begin by saying…The service tech Jimmy is the MAN. I told him what I was looking for and he delivered my M400 less than 5 days from the day I ordered it. I’m located in Atlanta and his knowledge and expertise about the Dolphin Bots was the one thing that made me feel comfortable that I was making the right decision. Pelicans is definitely blessed to have this guy as a part of their team. I can’t wait to try my new Bot…the weather in Atlanta unfortunately is so crazy now…I might have to wait until June to see how well it performs…which I believe…It will do a phenomenal job. K Hartwell
Everything is great so far. Better than anticipated. Only have used it 3 x to date. Not too clear on capabilities of remote app. Thought I would be able to move robot in various directions remotely. If possible to do this, will figure it our. Overall, at this use juncture, prefer it to an AquaBot which I had used for 20 years previously.
I had a Dolphin for 22 years. It finally took it's last lap around the pool this Spring. So I started looking at new Dolphin's. The M400 is the closest model to my old Dolphin. Looks similar and the features are similar. What I like about this new Dolphin the ability to remote control it. For those times I just want to do a quick vacuum, I can just throw it in the pool and remote it to where I need to clean. It also does a very good job cleaning on the regular cycle which takes about two and a half hours. Two things I don't like. One, there's only one cycle. My old one had only one cycle, but most of the new models have several cycles to choose from. The second thing is the WiFi. It works fine. But like most computerized items, there will come the day when Maytronic's will stop supporting this OS, or, this Dolphin will no longer be compatible with the current technology to come. I guess at that time, this new Dolphin will be just like the old one. I'm happy with my purchase and hope I get somewhere near the 22 years I got with my old one.

Good cleaner but very pricey. Cleans well but I worry about the plastic cover cracking. It was double the cost of our cc plus which we couldn't reorder since maytronics changed the cord length on all there reasonably priced vacuums Pelican however was great to work with, got the vacuum to us quickly and they are very knowledgeable and responsive. They get an Aplus. Maytronics a D minus.
Love this cleaner. My pool is new and while the construction was going on the cleaner kept things clean. I love cleaning the filter and seeing the dirt it picked up.
Does a great job cleaning the pool. Minor problems. To retrieve robot from the pool, you need to pull the cord. This goes against everything I have learned. I could purchase a hook and put it on a long pole. Second, it doesn't have a dedicated caddy. The universal caddy works, but a dedicated caddy would be a lot better. Instructions for putting universal caddy together is not great. Additionally, I purchased the regular cover. Very thin and I don't expect it to last. Since I live in a dusty area, I only use the fine filter and it quickly fills up and needs to be cleaned. Again I am happy with the job it does. I would purchase it again without hesitation.
This is our second M400. The first one lasted for five years. When it was time to buy a new one, there was really no other choice. It works great and very efficient. Also very easy to clean and store. The cart is a must have for us because once clean we roll it into our garage to store for next use.

This is replacing a 13 year old Dolphin Nautilus. I really liked the old one, but it quit working last year just before it was time to close the pool. I looked everywhere and finally decided to get the M400. So far I really like this robot, being able to start the cycle from my phone is a big upgrade. So far it is doing a great job.
This is my second Dolphin for last 15 years. So far working good! Hope its gonna last like the other one more then 10 years.

This unit replaced the M500, which lasted 9 years. The M400 is similar to the M500 that we had. So far it works well, gets the job done, and we're happy with it.
Works great. This is my second one in 6 years. My last one was hit by lightning. Only had to replace the rollers on the last one after a few years. Low maintenance pool cleaner for a low maintenance pool.
It was super easy to order from Pelican Shops. They must have shipped my order that day because it arrived all the way to New Mexico super quickly. And the Dolphin---it is the best! Love it. Highly Recommend!
So far so good; running off of blue tooth. Picks up debris well. Easy cleanup/removal of filters. Only reason not given a four star is to give it a few more weeks.
I have had this m-400 pool cleaner for a month now, it cleans the bottom of the pool real good, but I have not yet seen it clean the sides or waterline. It says it will clean waterline, bottom, sides. I find no cycle modes but it says 2.5 hour total clean And a 1.0 bottom quick clean! Disappointed that it only is cleaning bottom!! Edit: Great customer service, problem has been solved thanks, Luke!
