    I called Pelican Pools 1 and talked to John because the sides of my pool were slippery. Our cleaner, which is new, was struggling to go up the sides of the pool. He talked to me about algae in the water causing the problem. We've had our pool for 35 years and I'm its caretaker. I've never had to use an algaecide BUT I used to vacuum the old way with a vacuum head and brush which would have wiped it away. This aglacide is a "preventative". I did as he recommended. Brushed down all the sides and added 2 containers which treat 15,000 gallons of water per container. After a couple of days of circulation, the sides were no longer slippery and my cleaner easily went up the sides. It's a bit expensive but well worth it.
